The day we got the bike! Kass grabbed my gear and jumped on board... a sign of things to come!

Here we are stopped for "coffee" in Horseshoe Bay, BC on our way to Whistler, BC for an early spring ride.

Things started to get a little chilly north of Squamish. Being early spring, we started to encounter snow about halfway between Squamish and Whistler. This was taken outside the Whistler Olympic Park

This little bridge was right near the Olympic park. It was starting to get really chilly and we were getting hungry!

After a quick lunch at Boston Pizza at Whistler Creekside we decided to go check out the village. It was amazing how warm it got. We saw people in ski suits walking around with skis perched on their shoulders.. and we saw people sunbathing! We met a nice family that was just leaving to go back to Australia and we snapped a shot for each other

Kass and I started indoor rock climbing, so we couldn't pass up the chance to pose with one of the true climbing meccas in North America.. The Stawamus Chief!

Kass in front of the first bikes to show up for the first group ride we attended. Pacific Riding School put these rides together for their former students.

Quite a few riders showed up to take part in this ride from Vancouver to Squamish, BC

After hearing about it so much, we decided to check out Chuckanut Drive in Washington State. This is an almost 35 km road with some amazing views. The road is well known to motorcyclists for it's twists and turns... a real joy to ride.

As we were enjoying the scenery, a young couple pulled up to enjoy the same view. We got to talking and got them to take our picture.

We cut off the southern end of the "Chuck" and cruised into Anacortes, Wash, home of the Oyster Run, the largest motorcycle rally in the Pacific Northwest!

After lunch in Anacortes, we buzzed down to Seattle for a quick look around. We had to stop outside the first Starbucks on the planet! :)

We try to talk to folks when we're out, and we try to get different people to take our pictures.. here we are at the Pike Place Public Market in Seattle, Wa.

On May 23, 2013 The bridge crossing the Skagit river in Burlington, Wa collapsed after being struck by an overheight truck. Kass and I decided to go check it out. We decided to take the Chuckanut again. Kass is getting pretty good at taking pics off the back of the bike.

Another shot of "The Chuck". We ran into some kind of bicycle rally/race on the way down. There was even some guy riding in a duck suit.

This is what was left of the bridge in Burlington, Wa. The crews had already started to erect a "Bailey Bridge" as a temporary fix.

Anytime we're in Burlington, we stop in at Shari's Restaurant. Here's Kass enjoying a very healthy lunch!!

Good coffee and really good pie! Gotta love Shari's!

Ok.. we didn't ride here.. but we hit up the Big Rig show in Chilliwack, BC. I have a soft spot for the old KW cabovers!

Kass loves trains. Leave it to her to find a train at a truck show!!

Even Jamie Davis of "Highway Thru Hell" was in attendance. Didn't see the man himself.. but the trucks were sure nice.

This is from our road trip in 2013, We decided to do an Okanagan trip. This is in the Fraser Canyon heading to Kamloops, BC

Us in Kamloops, BC.

Found this great little place to stop for awesome cinnamon buns and a stretch just outside Salmon Arm, BC. Sprokkets Cafe is attached to the Dreamcycle Motorcycle Museum. There's also a little shop with all sorts of motorcycle trinkets.

We took the Westside road into Kelowna. Kass got some beautiful shots as we were rolling along. Despite a few construction delays, this was an amazing ride.

Ahhh.. Osoyoos, BC. Weather was hot and clear. We felt a little silly walking around in jeans but, hey... we weren't about to ride in shorts!

Of course Kass had to leave her mark on the beach! :)

We hiked up the hill in search of a little snack. We found the Tim Horton's!! They had a thermometer hanging outside the window... it read 42 degrees Celsius!!

Our goal for this trip was Spotted Lake. This lake is considered to be sacred by the Okanagan First Nations people. There's a fence surrounding the lake to prevent people from walking to it, however, it can be seen easily from Hwy 3, just outside of Osoyoos.

We headed back up to Kelowna to our hotel for the night. We found Ogopogo no problem!! It's fun asking people to take your picture, they usually think it's pretty cool that we're riding a bike together.

On our way home, we decided to detour off hwy 3 just outside of Hedley, BC and take "Old Hedley Road" for a little bit of a change of scenery. It didn't disappoint.

Kass strikes again!! We found this caboose in Princeton, BC. It is a restoration in progress by the Vermillion Train Society. They maintain the Trans Canada Trail from Brookmere to Osprey Lake.

Thank goodness for cameras with timers! Had to stop for this shot!

Home at the end of a 4 day ride through the Okanagan!
